# Decimal Form Field (Pro)

When building payment forms in Elementor, collecting numeric amounts can be tricky with the standard field types. The "**text**" type doesn't validate numbers, while the "**number**" type only allows integers.

To solve this common need for decimal payment values, we added a dedicated "<mark style="color:red;">**Decimal**</mark>" field in our plugin.

This new field type only allows valid numeric decimal entries like 9.99. It will validate values entered are in the proper format - preventing invalid text or improperly formatted decimals.
